How do I clean my curtains?

Our curtains are not machine washable and are not to be wet. As it might shrink or ruin the velvet.  All our Velvet Curtain Fabrics are to be Dry Clean Only for Best cleaning results. You can always run a handheld clothes steamer or iron to get wrinkles out. If you do use an iron we strongly recommend ironing the panels from the back side, not the front.

How do I go about measuring and knowing what size panel to get?

Purchase panels that measure double to two-and-a-half times the width of the window, Open space or Wall you are trying to cover. Anything below double the width size, will make the panels look stretched out and plain. For added fullness, use three times the width. The bottom edge of your curtain or drape should fall to the window sill, below the sill, or to the floor.  Leave about 1/2" of clearance if you opt for floor length.  Please keep in mind that our Curtain Panels show the exact size when fully stretched out completely. The size you see on the listing is the exact size you will be receiving when laid flat.

You can find full step-by-step details on how to go about measuring your windows for installing your curtains.

What is the Difference Between Curtains and Drapes?

Curtains are usually unlined and are perfect for creating a semi-formal or casual look to any event or space.  Drapes are usually lined and create a formal look.

Why does Lushes Curtains Sell Single Curtain panels, rather than

Decorators, interior designers, Event Planners and DIYers often need more than just a pair of curtains to customize the look they are trying to achieve, for their space or event.  If you are trying to achieve greater fullness, or are decorating non-standard width windows, wall, Openings or stages, you can better customize your look in buying singles vs. pairs.  A majority of our curtains are "full width," which means 60" in. wide (Mass market panels are typically only 40+ in. wide).
